Ahhhh!! It's my first post! Alright, hopefully I'm not the only one who sees super cute shirts on Tumblr, but they are SO expensive. I looked closer at a few and realized, "I can make these!" So, I went to my local craft store and found the right things for the project and figured it out as I went. So, here are 3 DIY Tumblr inspired shirts.
Materials:
Extra long t-shirt
Scissors
Ruler
Color pencil

Cut off the seam at the bottom of the shirt.
Measure where you want the knots to start and draw a line (this is where you figure out how long you want the shirt to be, not counting the knots).
Start cutting fringe up to the line you drew. Make sure you only cut the top layer of the shirt then work your way to the back.

Take two strips and knot them together. Continue all the way around your shirt. (Make sure
not to tie the two sides together.)

Then take two different strips and knot them together. Continue all the way around.
Lastly take the two strips you used to make the first knot and make one last knot. Continue all the way around. I then trimmed the left over so it was even.

Print out a pocket pattern (resize if necessary) and trace it onto the fabric. Cut out the pocket shape from the fabric.
Fold the edges in and pin. Sew along the top of the pocket. Then, pin and sew the pocket onto the shirt.
I then cut off the arms and cut the bottom a little bit.

Cut the bottom off your shirt (optional).
Measure how much chain you need and cut off a little more just incase. (You could also measure the length around your shirt if you want a more specific length for the chain).

Hand or machine sew the pom poms on. Make sure not to make the seams too tight or the shirt will scrunch at the bottom.
Nice tee shirts and nice models, lol! I want more
