- stuffing

1. With your brown felt, still folded in half, trace a circle on it. I used our Christmas tree base but
you could also use a laundry basket.

2. Cut out the circle and using a bowl, trace and cut out the donuts middle.
(to cut out the middle, fold the fabric in half, snip it, open it up and fold it the other way,
snip again, then just cut to the line and cut)
3. Trace the brown circle onto the pink felt and cut that out.

4. Trace on a random squiggly line around the circle to resemble the frosting, just remember, all donuts
are different so your frosting doesn't have to be perfect. Then trace the bowl again in the middle
of the pink felt and draw another squiggly line around that.
5. Cut along the outside line and to cut the middle out.

6. Now, cut out a few strips from each color to the size you want for the sprinkles.
Place them randomly around the FROSTING and pin them down.

7. Sew each sprinkle down using the straight stitch.

8. Pin the frosting to ONE of the pieces of brown felt.
Using the zig zag stitch sew the frosting down by making sure the stitch gets on both
the frosting and the donut.
Tip: use lots of pins since felt is a little stretchy, you don't want your frosting to look weird.

9. Pin the two pieces together WRONG SIDES TOGETHER as you wouldn't be able to turn it right side.
I didn't pin it right along the edge so that the two pieces would stay put at all times (left picture) and that worked out really well.
10. Sew them together using the zig zag stitch, the stitch should go over the side so that it won't open.
Leave a hole big enough so that you can stuff the pillow.

12. Now, this is the hard part, to close it you can either hand or machine sew it shut,
I decided to machine sew.

And you're done!! Enjoy you new pillow!
